Stillwater Studios resident Producer/Engineer Dustin Smith has been actively building his engineering and production skills for over 14 years at studios all over the San Francisco Bay Area. (Fantasy Studios, Talking House Studios, Bay View Studios, Popsmear Studios, and Sound Solutions) He holds a B.A. in Audio Recording and Production from San Francisco State University.

Through the years he has been fortunate enough to learn from leading Bay Area Engineers Karl Derfler (credits: No Doubt, Dave Matthews Band, and Smashmouth), Michael Rosen (credits: AFI, Rancid, Aerosmith, Journey, Joe Satriani, and Carlos Santana), and Masaki Liu (credits: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Switchfoot, and Five Iron Frenzy). Dustin’s personal credits include work with B-Legit, Cold Hot Crash, The Federalists, Kid Innocence, Scissors For Lefty, Yours Truly, and with major label recording artists Tom Waits (Shrek 2 soundtrack) and E-40.
